A care home in Arizona that facilitates pateints with memory loss has teamed up with Pima Animal Care Center to create a special programme for it’s elderly residents.The newborn kittens from the animal shelter require round the clock care during the first few weeks and need to be bottle fed up to every 2 hours.The kittens are brought to the care home and residents help out with the bottle feeds and the results have been amazing for both kittens and patients.

Since the programme started the kittens have now doubled in weight and the health condition of both residents and kittens has dramatically improved, some of the elderly have regained memory which had been previously been lost, this is amazing news!

Even though a person may have dementia and can't remember much, the human ability to give love and receive love still exists. As you can see "Peaches" is receiving a lot of love and in return the resident is also receiving love and creating a bond.
