To discover conjoined twins in the wildlife is an extremely rare find, so when fisherman working in the North Sea in May 2017 pulled a two headed creature on board, they were completely shocked and took plenty of photographic evidence. They released the creature back into the ocean as they believed it was illegal to keep the body and bring it back to land.
This amazing and unique discovery was reported on the Natural History Museum of Rotterdam.
The creature was accidentally caught and represents the 10th conjoined cetacean ever found globally
Although the crew released the creature back into the ocean, scientists are extremely grateful for these images.
